Low-Level Waste Advisory Committee

The Low-Level Waste Advisory Committee (LLWAC) consists of 23 members representing local government, business, environmental, health, academic, engineering and public interest groups, and the Pennsylvania General Assembly. The committee was established by the Pennsylvania Low-Level Radioactive Waste Disposal Act of 1988 and provides advice to the department regarding policies and issues related to the implementation of this act.

The committee meetings are held annually in Harrisburg and the meetings are open to the public.
