In response to Governor Tom Wolf's guidance on COVID-19 mitigation, the following Mine Safety Classes and events are canceled for April:

  • Bituminous Mine Officials Competency Course: April 21, 22, 23
  • Bituminous Mine Official Exam: April 8
  • EMT Continuing Education: New Stanton, April 2, Marion Center, April 9
  • Mine Families First Response & Communications Advisory Council: April 7
  • PA Blasting Awareness and Shot Firer Certification, April 28 - 29
  • Technical Advisory Committee: April 8

The Bureau of Mine Safety is responsible for the health and safety of miners in all underground mines throughout Pennsylvania.
