  • Adams County Community Foundation: The community foundation for Adams County and South Central Pennsylvania. Its purpose is twofold: to promote and facilitate charitable giving and to build a permanent endowment that will invest in the communities of Adams County forever. For more information, click here.
  • Joseph J Anselmo Sr Trust: Grants fund organizations serving youth in Northumberland Borough and Point Township. Environmental grants in the past have funded park improvements. To inquire more about grant opportunities, call 570-473-3531.
  • Armstrong Foundation: The Armstrong Foundation provides grants to organizations focused on improving communities in which Armstrong employees live and work in. For more information, click here.
  • Berks County Community Foundation: Provide funding for projects related to conservation, preservation, sustainable energy and park improvements. Grants range $1,000-$25,000 and are restricted to organizations serving within Berks County. Preference is rewarded to organizations with the ability to impact the broader community through innovative solutions to community needs, multiple funding sources, and a long-term and measurable impact.   • Blue Mountain Foundation: Grants for projects focused on bettering communities in Lancaster and Berks Counties. This grant supports basic needs of the community, environmental, and health and wellness projects. For more information, click here.
  • Centre County Community Foundation: This foundation provides funding for groups in Centre County with projects focused on the environment, education, the arts, and health/social services. Priority is given to projects that address community needs with the potential for a long-term impact. For more information, click here.
  • Children’s Home Foundation: The Children’s Home Foundation provides grants for child-related projects in Dauphin, Cumberland and Perry Counties. For more information, click here.
  • Clinton County Community Foundation: The mission of the Clinton County Community Foundation is to improve the quality of life in the Clinton County. Grants up to $13,000 are awarded to projects that complement the mission of the foundation, including but not limited to beautification/environmental preservation. For more information, click here.
  • Colonial Oaks Foundation: Provides grants ranging $1,000-$60,000 to organizations serving in Berks County. The foundation focuses on projects that improve the health, wellbeing, and self-sufficiency of neglected communities.   • Crels Foundations: General support grants given by Crels Foundation range from $1,000-$50,000 and are limited to Lancaster County. Previous environmental grants include Lancaster Farmland Trust for land preservation. For more information, call 717-581-8130.
  • The Degenstein Foundation: Provides grants in central Pennsylvania ranging $1,000-$32,000 to projects focused on conservation of natural resources, protection of the environment, economic development, education, healthcare, or children.   • The Grumbacher Family Foundation: Grants are rewarded locally within York County and range $1,000-$28,602. Applications may be submitted by mail at any time with an annual report, budget, list of major funding sources, audited financial statement list of board members, and IRS tax exempt documentation.   • The Hamer Foundation: Grants ranging $1,000-$822,500 are awarded to education or environmental organizations helping Centre County residents. Application may be submitted at any time. For more information, call 814-355-8004.
  • Henry Janssen Foundation: This foundation was created in 1998 in honor of Eleanor & Henry Jansen’s lifetime of charitable work. Three-fourths of grants are awarded in eastern Pennsylvania for a wide range of projects, including environmental conservation. For more information, call 610-678-2426.
  • Kinsley Family Foundation: Grants range $1,000-$375,000 and are distributed locally in York County. Projects focused on improving the community, including land preservation and conservation projects are eligible to apply. Applications must include a detailed description of the project, funding request and plan, and descriptive organizational literature. For more information, call 717-741-8407.
  • The Lancaster County Community Foundation: This foundation works to better the quality of life for those living in Lancaster County by providing grants to sustainable and impactful projects. Numerous environmental grants have been rewarded in the past for a wide variety of projects in land conservation and environmental education. For more information, click here.
  • 1675 Foundation: The 1675 Foundation was created by the Ware Family to replace the Oxford Foundation. The mission of the 1675 Foundation is to foster a prosperous community, particularly in lower income areas, through supporting health, human services, education, the environment, and the arts. The foundation awards grants exclusively in Chester County. For more information, click here.
  • Pennsylvania Environmental Defense Foundation: The mission of this foundation is to education Pennsylvanians about environment laws while providing resources to use those laws in harnessing their right to a clean environment. Grant application may be submitted in any form at any time, describing in detail how the grant funds will be used. To apply for this grant or for more information, click here.
  • The Sovereign Bank Foundation: The Sovereign Bank Foundation grant program accepts applications from organizations focused on community development, youth and education, health and human services, and arts and culture in lower income areas.   • The Steinman Foundation: Organizations serving in Lancaster County are eligible for grants ranging $500-$420,580 for projects aimed at fostering a health community.   • The Wyomissing Foundation: This foundation’s grants are focused on encouraging economic development in Berks County and addressing community needs. Grants range from $1,000-$316,000 and are awarded quarterly. To apply for a grant or to learn more about grant opportunities, click here.
  • York County Community Foundation: Only organizations serving within York County are eligible to apply for this grant.
