trespassticketfineMines are private property whether they are active or abandoned. Persons caught in mine sites by police will be charged with Criminal Trespass which carries up to a $300 fine. The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) will suspend driver's licenses for persons caught riding ATVs and four-wheel drive vehicles on private property. If you are not yet old enough to drive, PennDOT will wait until you get your license, and suspend it then.
