Stream ReLeaf Riparian Buffer

Information and Project Reporting Data Form

The Stream ReLeaf Database is based on written or electronic submissions of buffer projects established by various agencies and groups. The tracking of those submissions began in 2003 in the Chesapeake Bay Watershed and has now expanded statewide. The vast majority of the projects being tracked by the database has been funded by a number of sources: Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay, Chesapeake Bay Foundation, Conservation Reserve Enhancement Program - CREP, Fish and Boat Commission, Growing Greener, The 319 Program, Watershed Restoration Assistance Program and The William Penn Foundation. The Department has also begun tracking the establishment of Easements on riparian buffer projects using the Riparian Forest Buffer Protection Agreement and other similar documents around the state. For further information on the database and the Riparian Forest Buffer Protection Agreement contact Derrick McDonald at 717-772-5637.
