Renewal and New Vehicle Instructions

Existing Haulers can renew or amend their current authorizations by submitting a paper application or by using our online application system. Instructions for each are as follows:

Paper Application

Renewal 

  1. Haulers are reminded that they should submit a timely renewal at least 90 Days prior to their expiration date to ensure no lapse in their authorization.
  2. Print the Municipal and Residual Waste Transportation Authorization Application Forms
  3. Paper Renewal Instructions (PDF)
  4. Be sure to check “Renewal” for Application Type and included your WH#. Complete the form and mail it, along with a check or money order, to the address on the last page of the application. Please note, in the application you are required to submit compliance history information for the past five years. For instructions on how to determine if DEP has issued any enforcement actions against the applicant, Compliance History Instructions.
  5. Applicants should receive their authorization stickers and cab cards in the mail within two weeks of the department receiving an administratively complete application. Please be advised, stickers will not be mailed via overnight/express mail. Any overnight/express mail envelopes submitted with an application will not be returned.

Addendum

  1. Applicants can submit an addendum to add or remove vehicles from their authorization, request replacement stickers and cab cards, and update mailing and contact information. Please note, if you are within 120 days of your authorizations expiration date do not submit an addendum. You should submit a renewal to make any changes to your authorization.
  2. Print the Municipal and Residual Waste Transportation Addendum Forms 2560-PM-BWM0015c - available in eLibrary.

  4. Complete the form and mail it, along with a check or money order (if adding vehicles or requesting replacement stickers or cab cards), to the address on the last page of the application.
  5. Applicants should receive their authorization stickers and cab cards in the mail within two weeks of the department receiving an administratively complete application. Please be advised, stickers will not be mailed via overnight/express mail. Any overnight/express mail envelopes submitted with an application will not be returned. 

Online Application

  2. Applicants should have received a letter identifying their Waste Hauler # and Personnel Identification Number (PIN). This information is required to access the online application. If you do not have this information, please contact our helpdesk at 717-705-3768 to have a new PIN issued.
  3. Follow the instructions on the PIN Letter to log onto the online application system located at DEP GreenPort.
  4. Greenport Renewal Instructions (PDF)
  5. Click on “New Application” under the Main Menu. Complete each section under “Application Check List”. Upon successfully submitting your application and credit card information, the Main Menu will indicate that your “Application is currently under review by DEP”. Please note, in the application you are required to submit compliance history information for the past five years. For instructions on how to determine if DEP has issued any enforcement actions against the applicant,Compliance History Instructions.
  6. Applicants should receive their authorization stickers and cab cards in the mail within two weeks of the application submittal date. 

Addendum

  1. Applicants should have received a letter identifying their waste hauler # and Personnel Identification Number (PIN). This information is required to access the online application. If you do not have this information, please contact our helpdesk at 717-705-3768 to have a new PIN issued.
