Blasting and Explosives

The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) is responsible for regulating the storage, handling and use of explosives in the commonwealth. REGULATIONS

Blasting and explosives use is regulated under Title 25 of the Pa. Code:
Ch 210: Blasters' Licenses
Ch 211: Storage, Handling and Use Of Explosives
Mining-specific explosives regulations are also included in Chapters 77, 87, 88 and 89
